RTÉ has announced that it is to spend €60,000 on a photographer for the Fair City set – a day after Director General Kevin Bakhurst said he “couldn’t believe” reports that the cash-strapped broadcaster was offering €80,000 per year to someone to take 16 pictures a week on the show.
