One in two adults under the age of 35 have tried cocaine, according to a poll conducted days after the dramatic €157m seizure of the drug brought new focus on its use. Younger adults were far more likely to be users of the drug, with 43pc of those polled saying they had tried it — and a further 6pc of under-35s admitted to using cocaine regularly, while 2pc preferred not to reveal if had used it, the Sunday Independent/Ireland Thinks poll found.
