Britain’s new Troubles legacy act has provoked opposition across the political spectrum. At least 16 victims of the conflict have launched judicial review proceedings to have the legislation declared incompatible with fundamental human rights. This week the family of an English soldier killed in 1991 decided to take legal action too.
